About the Home

This project was designed to deliver a contemporary and unique family home for our client which would reflect her personal style, whilst utilizing the elevated position of the corner block upon which the house sits. The exterior of the home incorporates the use of render, James Hardie Axon cladding in complimentary Colourbond colours of Shale Grey and Monument which are softened by the use of feature Silvertop Ash cladding on the garage façade and porch.

The use of render and cladding is also combined to enhance the design aesthetic, highlighting the pavilion-like feel of the home. Contrasting colours have been used externally to accentuate the form and clean lines of the house. A combination of roof profiles have also been used to create interest and add to the home’s individuality and non-traditional style.

Internally, the home opens into a spacious entry with burnished polished concrete floors leading to an impressive light-filled open plan kitchen, meals and living area, with a raked ceiling rising up from the kitchen to the living side of the building to 3.9 metres in height. The skillion roof is complimented by a pair of oversized windows with hi-lite windows, ensuring that the main living area of the home is open, light and bright. The floor plan provides ample family accommodation with four bedrooms, two living areas and oversized butler’s pantry.
